Summary: The Ghostbusters are engaged in a common job at restaurant.  Dealing with some annoying but not much threatening ghosts, the Ghostbusters do their job while the patrons of the restaurant look on.  Two of the patrons are John and Olivia, John is clearly whipped while Olivia makes all the decisions while belittling her spouse’s suggestions whenever they're made.  While the Ghostbusters are doing their job John asks Olivia if they should consider hiring the “Ghost Smashers” to help them with their “Uncle Horace problem.”  Olivia rejects this idea saying that it’s a family matter and that they don’t need their help to rid them of their ghost.  John, without his wife’s knowledge, asks and receives from Winston the Ghostbusters’ business card just in case his wife changes her mind.  Little did the couple know, one of the ghosts the Ghostbusters were fighting got away and snuck into their car in order to join them when they get home.
"You see the Ghostbusters who are destroying this restaurant, would you like to bring them to our house?"

At the Stewart mansion, the ghost of Uncle Horace is very confused he has forgotten something but he isn’t sure what it is.  He thinks his house is haunted and he is afraid of ghosts but he doesn’t know he is one.  Oliva and John are aware of his ghost fear so they dress as ghosts as a method of scaring Uncle Horace away.  Uncle Horace is scared but he comes across the Ghostbusters’ business card that was dropped by John and decided to call them to help him with the mansion’s ghost problem.  Janine gets the call and as soon as the Ghostbusters pull in and she sends them back out.
"No, I have a better plan!"

When they get to the mansion they find Uncle Horace and begin to bust him.  As a result Uncle Horace begins to cry and scream in pain, asking why they are doing this to him.  It becomes apparent to the Ghostbusters that he doesn’t know he is a ghost.  They discover through conversation that he was the one who called them.  This concerns them and they decide not to trap him.  They decide instead to help Uncle Horace pass on since it would rude to bust their employer.  However the PKE meter also tells them there is another ghost so Peter and Winston go looking.
At least there plan is working better then Uncle Horace's plan.

At this point Olivia and John are still dressed as ghosts trying to scare Uncle Horace away.  The split up and John runs into the Ghostbusters.  He explains to them about Uncle Horace and they can’t sell the mansion so long as he is here.  Olivia runs into the other ghost and is being harassed by it.  Her screams attract the Ghostbusters and Uncle Horace.  The Ghostbusters battle, the ghost and with some Tarzan tricks from Egon, rescue Olivia and captured the ghost.  Uncle Horace realized what he wanted so badly now.  He just wanted to say good-bye to his wonderful niece and he did then passed on.
The look a Ghostbuster gets when he discovers that it was the ghost who actually called him.

My Take:  This is a very interesting episode it answers one of the major questions about the Ghostbusters.  Do they capture all ghosts or just certain ghosts?  They clearly don’t mind Slimer.  Their general rule seems to be they capture ghosts who harm people. (And to be clear they capture ghost who both harm people whose victims are now willing to pay thousands of dollars to get rid of them.)  Uncle Horace is harming his family by making it impossible to sell their house but he was just confused not doing on purpose.  Their desire is to help him not bust him is interesting.  Once again they’re acting more like Jennifer Love Hewitt’s the Ghost Whisperer more than the Ghostbusters.
Okay now what do we do.  It;s time to Ghost Whisper it!

                Now for my stray observations:

·         The damn destructive Ghostbusters.  It's no wonder Olivia didn't want to call them.
·         No rest for the Ghostbusters, it must hard being on call 24/7. At least they get to rest a lot more than their receptionist.
·         When they discover Uncle Horace doesn't knows he is a ghost and that he was the one who called made for a funny scene.  The funny part was according to them this has happened before.
·         I was really touched by Uncle Horace wanting to say good-bye to his little niece, I have a little one year old niece and I  would be want to say good-bye if I was a ghost.

A great episode to check out I highly recommend it.
