Summary: The Ghostbusters are at a routine job at a greenhouse.  They cornered the ghost near some geraniums and blasted it.  Little did they know the ghost was able to allow itself to be absorbed by one of the geraniums.  The shop owner was pleased and in addition to their fee gave the Ghostbusters a free geranium, which as luck would have it was the haunted one.
In the hunt.

Egon not knowing what to do with the plant gave it to Janine who seemed to know quite a bit.  Janine takes it as a romantic gesture from Egon and brings it home to add to her collection of plants.  When she goes to work the next morning, the plant starts to grow a much accelerated rate.  Before the end of morning it’s covering most of Brooklyn.
Here is the ghost.
Now you got him!

The Ghostbusters are called in and they confront the plant.  They also have a botanist who shows up not wanting them to damage such a wonderful plant.  He wants it to be respected.  He keeps with that line until the plant tries to kill him and then he changes his mind.  The Ghostbusters follow the plant to its source showing a great deal of athleticism along the way.  They find it in Janine’s apartment and Janine who came home early was understandably horrified.  Egon, recalling his earlier childhood plant disaster that the told Janine during their discussion, grabs the firehouse.  He uses the firehouse to over water the plant at its base drowning the monster plant for good.
Yes this bad.

The ghost vacates and then is trapped but Egon and the guys have to endure a verbal tongue lashing from Janine and promise to pay the damages.
Very bad computers back then didn't come with a mouse.  And the plant thing.

My Take: A funny episode, so Egon finally gives a gift to Janine and look what happens, it backfires.  Well, that will teach you for acting like a normal human.  Next time just be weird and hard to understand.

                Now for my stray observations:

·         Umm...guys your traps have gauges on them to give you information on the ghosts you catch. The gauge tells you when the trap is full.  You used it when you first trapped Slimer and in your nasty adventureMaybe next time you should check your trap before you conclude you have the ghost.
·         Why does the ghost entering the plant make it grow?  This is never explained.
·         Egon is a great scientist but he doesn’t know how to take care of a plant?  I know he is not a botanist but come on.
·         Where does Janine find time to take care of all those plants?  She spends all her time in the firehouse.
·         Using the particle throwers as hedge clippers.
·         The fickle fan botanist was funny.
·         Boy, the Ghostbusters are very athletic!  Scaling wall and all.
·         I think it would take longer to over water and kill a plant of that size.

A great episode unless you like plants.
