Summary: The Ghostbusters are hunting a ghost at a chemical plant.  They chase the creature into a building that has a “danger no entry sign” yet the Ghostbusters follow it in anyway.  While they in there the normally destructive Ghostbusters manage to do more damage when Peter tries to blast the ghost when it passes through a vat and causes all the vats to explode.  The Ghostbusters, covered in chemicals, trap the ghost anyway. When Egon examines the trap he notices that the ghost was reduced from a class 3 to a class 2.  At that moment a bunch of scientists come up to yell at them for destroying their work but Peter tells them off, reminding them that they work for the CEO of the company.
The always destructive Ghostbusters.  So what if we're covered in chemicals it''' come of like that marshmallow stuff.

When the Ghostbusters got home it took them along while to get clean again.  Even after they were clean they all felt very sick and Egon's skin on his wrist started to bulge.  Janine goes out to do some shopping and when she gets back the guys are covered in this odd colored substance that has grown out of their skin.  Only their heads are uncovered.  The chemical company can’t explain it.  So Janine brings the guys to the hospital, which causes Ray to find out from Peter that they hadn’t paid their health insurance bill.

Home and clean but we still feel sick!

At the hospital, the doctors have no clue what is going on but they do run a bunch of tests that only annoy the Ghostbusters.  Things go from bad to worse as face parts grow on their chests.  Slimer actually saves the day again when It turns out the substance is attracted to ectoplasm.  When the substance senses Slimer and comes off the guys to form into a ghost eating monster.
Really sick!

The Ghostbusters get their gear and using their proton packs they destroy the monster that emerged from them.  After another week at the hospital they are medically cleared and handed a bill. To which they Ghostbusters then hand the hospital adminstator a bill for eradicating the monster and the bills break even.
Super sick!

My Take: Yeah, that episode was pretty nasty, just plain gross from beginning to end.  Even so, I enjoyed the episode and ranked it highly.

Okay Doctor, what's your best guess?

                Now for my stray observations:

·         The Ghostbusters were clearly in “the hunt” that they failed to notice the “No” sign.  Did they think it was one of their signs?
·         Egon, as a scientist, should have more respect for the dangers of chemicals.
"I'm sorry this happened Egon but you should show more respect to both chemicals and signs."

·         So the Ghostbusters destructiveness catches up with them! In the future they should be more careful where the aim their particle throwers.
Slimer is the cure!

·         Janine seemed awfully calm when Egon’s wrist was bulging; I think I would have sent them to the doctors then.
·         They need to put someone other than Peter in charge of their money.  He forgets the insurance payment so they have no health insurance and during their down time they are often broke. Where is Louis Tully when you need him?
Back to real ghostbusting!

·         Even though they had no insurance and it was Peter’s fault, he was able to save the team by proving he is Charles Venkman’s son and conning the hospital to accept a bill to dispose of monster that the Ghostbusters themselves had brought.
Peter, son of Charles, cheating the hospital out of their legitimate services!
